Retaining many of its original features, including exposed beams and stonework and external ramped access to the first floor, it has been sensitively restored, fitting into the landscape, simply but stylishly. Tucked away in a corner, it has privacy and peaceful surroundings, with the countryside literally on your doorstep.

Upstairs, it has a large, open plan kitchen, dining and living space with gas feature fire, vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and sweeping views across the Cornish countryside. It has it’s own private garden at the rear with direct access from the first floor living accommodation.

Nestled on the edge of woodland, Ruan has its own private garden and a small orchard to the rear of the property. The property has garden furniture and a barbecue ready for outdoor entertaining.
On Your Doorstep
Ruan is located at Tresemple, whose recorded history dates back to 1278. Tre is a common prefix in Cornish place names, meaning 'farm'. Managed by the Duchy of Cornwall, the neighbouring tenant farm tends to the surrounding fields and has a number of projects including The Farmyard Market, every Saturday from 9am. Less than 5 minutes by car is Truro, a small city dominated by the three spires of the Victorian built Truro Cathedral.
Tresemple is located close to the Fal River, which is tidal. It is known for its natural beauty, deep estuary and historical importance. It rises at St Austell, flows southward through countryside and woodland, including the area around Tregothnan Estate and Duchy of Cornwall. It eventually enters the sea at Falmouth, one of the largest natural harbours in the world. Falmouth is approximately 20 minutes drive by car. There are day boats from Truro to St Mawes, Flushing and Falmouth.

The dining kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker with double oven and induction hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and modern cookware, tableware and cookbooks. A washing machine and dryer are located in an utility room. A staircase leads off the kitchen to the ground floor.
SLEEPING
There are two bedrooms, a double bedroom with king size bed and a twin bedroom with zip and link super king and Egyptian cotton bed linen.

BATHING
Ensuite master bedroom had a bath with overhead shower, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail and twin bedroom ensuite comprises of a shower, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail, while upstairs there is a cloakroom cleverly designed into the eaves.
DOG FRIENDLY
Ruan is ideal for dogs and you are very welcome to bring up to two dogs during your holiday at a cost of £35 per dog per week.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, Tresemple is close to the Fal River, which is a haven for wildlife and birds. With two excellent local pubs, The Wheel House in Tresillan and The Heron Inn at Malpas, it has everything you need on your doorstep.
