The countryside around our cottages is patched with fields and woodland, where brooks bubble as they flow into the River Fowey. Restormel Castle stands on the hill, looking down on the valley, and the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery is a leisurely walk away. When season and availability allow, we offer complimentary fishing in the river.
Downstream lies the historic town of Lostwithiel. Known for its antique fairs and independent shops, the town also has a range of cafés, pubs and restaurants. Lostwithiel’s medieval heritage can be seen in the architecture, most notably the 12th-century bridge that spans the River Fowey. The beaches along the south coast are just a short drive away, as is the Eden Project and the coastal town of Fowey.
All of our cottages in the Restormel collection have full access to the leisure facilities at Restormel Manor. These include a heated indoor swimming pool, steam room and sauna, children’s play area, tennis court and a large games room.
