Dog friendly

Whether you want to stay in the country or by the coast, we have a wide selection of dog-friendly accommodation.

Inspiration

Our cottages are set in scenic locations that are perfect for dog walking. Coastal paths, spacious countryside and woodland walks all feature in our dog-friendly properties. We’re confident that your dog will enjoy your holiday as much as you do.

In Wales, your pets can roam free in the sprawling parkland of Brecon Beacons or sniff at the shrubs and hedgerows that shelter the country lanes. A walk through the wooded Towy River Valley is a pleasure for both you and your canine companion. On your way back through Rhandirmwyn, stop by the dog-friendly Royal Oak Inn for a taste of local ale.

Cornwall has a wide range of beaches that welcome dogs all year round. Constantine Bay Beach in Padstow is a spacious stretch of sand where your pet can run around freely – an ideal beach for active dogs. For a quieter location, follow the coastal path eastwards from Fowey to the secluded Lantic Bay. This little beach is tucked away between two hills and only accessible by foot, giving it an air of peace and privacy. Another delightful dog-friendly beach is Porthluny – a sheltered, sandy cove set into the coast. Just up from the shore stands Caerhays Castle, which is open throughout the summer to visitors and their dogs.

Many of the attractions in Cornwall are also dog friendly, including some of the county’s greatest gardens. Both The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project welcome dogs all year round, with plenty to keep both you and your pet entertained. A verdant valley garden scattered with local art installations, Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens in Penzance is arguably one of the best new attractions in Cornwall. After strolling the subtropical grounds, you and your pet can relax outside the Lime Tree Cafe, with panoramic views of Mounts Bay below.

To make sure our cottages remain in good condition for our other guests, we kindly ask that dogs stay in the downstairs areas of the properties with all four feet firmly on the ground. Similarly, we ask you not to leave your pets unattended in the accommodation.

Some of the cottages, particularly in Restormel and Newquay, are situated on working farmland. Please be considerate of others around you and keep your dogs on leads when crossing land where there may be livestock.

We advise that you bring a dog bed for your pet so that they have a comfortable place to sleep.

To cover cleaning costs, we charge £30 per week for each dog staying in the accommodation.
