| GRANGE FARMHOUSE, HAREWOOD END, HEREFORDSHIRE – SLEEPS 9 PLUS COTS We are delighted to announce the completion of Grange Farmhouse following a major renovation project with our first guests staying for Easter 2007. A unique property, beautifully restored and retaining many original features, Grange Farmhouse is an early 17th Century traditional half timbered farmhouse located on our Herefordshire estate between Hereford and Ross-On-Wye. Grange Farmhouse is ideally located to explore the beautiful Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, rural Herefordshire and the Brecon Beacons. Due to its central location, Grange Farmhouse is also within easy reach of Bristol, Bath, the Cotswolds and South Wales. Grange Farmhouse has been renovated and equipped with sustainability and the environment to the fore. All timber and stone used in the refurbishment was sourced from our Hereford Estate and all hot water and heat is provided by a wood chip boiler (no guest maintenance required!). The scale of accommodation is impressive with guests able to enjoy a stone flagged dining hall with open fireplace, leaded windows, subtle lighting and exposed timber framed walls. A large kitchen leads off from the dining hall and is large enough for informal dining and has been comprehensively equipped with dishwasher, American fridge freezer, four oven AGA with separate electric hob and all conceivable cookware, crockery, glassware, cook books etc. A washing machine and dryer are located in a utilty / bootroom leading off the kitchen. Across the hallway, there are two sitting rooms, one fitted with extensive bookcases and hi-fi, both have period open fireplaces, subtle lighting and & high quality soft furnishings. Flat screen TV's with DVD players are provided in both rooms and an ample supply of DVDs, board games and books are supplied. There is a large ground floor cloak room. All bedrooms are located on the first floor. The accommodation is designed for 9 persons plus cots, but an additional child can be accommodated utilising a folding bed if required. On the first floor there are two well proportioned en-suite double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and one single bedroom plus a large family bathroom and a separate shower room. The extensive garden has a large mown lawn area perfect for energetic children with the remainder laid out as an orchard and wild flower meadow. Garden games and a table tennis table are provided along with quality garden furniture and a barbecue. A secure gun safe is provided in the cellar to accommodate any guests who may have arranged field sports activities. A maximum of 2 well behaved dogs can be accommodated by prior arrangement. Kennels and a run are provided in the large garden. Grange Farmhouse is a truly magnificent property ideal for entertaining and we are delighted with the initial interest received. Short breaks will be available over the winter months. |
