No.2 Gustivean has excellent views over farmland towards Newquay. The garden has extensive lawn areas complete with terrace, quality garden furniture and barbecue. The garden is fenced to provide a secure play area for younger visitors.
Set amidst farmland but just 1 mile outside the popular resort of Newquay, this very pretty cottage has been painstakingly restored and extended utilising traditional materials and techniques. The interior has been refurbished with the assistance of leading interior designers to retain the character of the property whilst providing a well equipped and homely base for an enjoyable holiday.
No.2 Gustivean Cottage is a perfect base to explore the length and breath of Cornwall with all major attractions within easy reach.
The entrance porch leads to a large, oak-floored sitting room, with an inglenook fireplace , wood burning stove (logs are supplied from our own woodlands), subtle lighting and high quality soft furnishings, flat screen TV with DVD player and hi-fi. An ample supply of DVDs, games and books is supplied.
At the rear of the cottage is a well equipped slate floored traditional kitchen / dining room which has been comprehensively equipped with dishwasher, fridge freezer, ceramic hob, double oven, microwave and all conceivable cookware, crockery, glassware, cook books etc. A full height glazed screen with a Southerly aspect allows extensive views of the adjoining countryside and the garden. A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and ground floor shower room lead off from the kitchen.
All bedrooms are located on the first floor, comprising 2 double bedrooms with king size beds and a twin bedded room. The timber panelled bathroom is located on the first floor, having traditional sanitary ware, bath with shower over. The bathroom and shower room have heated towel rails and recessed lighting.
No.2 Gustivean Cottage has full central heating and towels and linen are provided. All electricity and heating including logs are included in the tariff together with welcome pack and complimentary toiletries.
Regrettably pets are not allowed and smoking is not permitted inside the cottage.
